Core Committees

In addition to our board members, the Bessie Mathew Foundation has established internal core committees to provide ideation, validation, assistance and advice to the board on how to further our mission. The following are the various committees and its members.

  • A group of 5 women who meet through Zoom every 15th of the month and pray for all things related to the Bessie Mathew Foundation. If you have any prayers requests, please email us.

  • Every one of the 10 members on here proactively reached out and asked to help with the charity. The team includes those who knew Bess personally and those who didn’t. The one thing in common for all the members of this committee is that Bess impacted their lives in some sense.

  • This committee is made up of 22 of Jiji’s closest relatives who considered Bessie one of their own.

  • This core committee of 7 members consists of Bessie’s family in New York.

  • This core committee of 8 members consists of Bessie’s Pennsylvania family.

  • This core committee of 10 members consists of Bessie’s neighborhood friends who are neighbors by definition but sisters by heart.
